November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Recap

November 19, 2017 by Chelsea Kram – XO&So: Vegetarian Comfort Food Leave a Comment

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Ipsy Glam bags of the month...

The November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag came in a relatively simple bag this month - a teal zip up clutch with a darker diagonal piece across it. Hopefully they're sending something glitzy for December!

If you aren't familiar with Ipsy, it's a personalized makeup and beauty subscription service. Each month, you receive a different makeup bag filled with five products customized for your skin tone, skin type, etc. Some months are definitely better than others, but I have found that for the $10 USD it costs a month, I get my money's worth, and that is based on over two years of being an Ipsy subscriber! I've been lucky to receive a lot of high-quality makeup brushes I use all the time as well as full-size products that I love and those are the most valuable to me. I've also received a lot of great travel-size items and the makeup bags are awesome for packing small gifts, etc.

If you're interested in signing up, here's a referral link (everyone gets one of these once they sign up): https://www.ipsy.com/new?cid=ppage_ref&sid=link&refer=2llt

Now, onto the good stuff...Here's what's in the bag!

Manna Kadar HD Perfecting Powder - 2.7 grams. Full size retails for $29 USD. Ipsy subscribers receive 20% off. I tried this the other night and actually really liked it! I usually use loose powder but I found this worked really well especially under my eyes.

Bang Beauty Lipgloss in Spice. This is one of my favorite products from this month's bag. The gloss is a great, easy-to-wear shade and it feels moisturizing and not sticky! It retails for $18 USD.

Soroci Morning Calm Cream. I hadn't heard of Soroci until now but it's a Korean beauty line recently launched in Canada. I haven't tried this product on my face yet, but I can tell you it smells great and feels soft on the back of my hand. The ingredient looks good and they claim to use products that haven't been altered in any way which is nice. It has ingredients like shea butter, sunflower seed oil, egg yolk extract, and apricot kernel extract. Let me know if you'd like me to update this once I try it out! The full size retails for $24 CAD.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Feisty (dusty rose). Products like this really make Ipsy worth it for me. I already use and love Tarte's amazonian clay blushes all the time but I didn't have this shade. It's a great shade that I suspect would work on many skin tones. The blush in the Ipsy bag is 1.5g and you can buy the full-size from Sephora for $38.

Touch in Sol Advanced Real Moisture Liquid Foundation with SPF 30 in Natural Beige. I think this product will come in handy in the summer, but it's a touch dark for my winter skin and (I know, I know I'm bad) I don't usually use products with SPF in the winter when I barely leave my house! But when I tested this on my hand it DID feel moisturizing and has a very light scent. American Sephora carries some Touch in Sol products, but not this one as far as I can see. I also can't find this on the Touch in Sol website...so that's a little confusing....Maybe it's an up and coming product?! But it seems silly to send a sample if there isn't anywhere to buy the full size if someone ends up loving it!

ANYWHOOOO!!!!

Happy Sunday!!!! I'm getting some work done then seeing a movie tonight. Hope you're having a great weekend.

xo - C
