There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to make this recipe, and I don’t hold back! I make this several times each winter/fall, and I’ve tweaked the recipe to get it, in my opinion, perfect. It’s super moist and satisfying but not overly sweet, and it’s very easy to make. Like, a five-year old could do it (which I’d like to watch). So, without further adieu, here is the perfect pumpkin chocolate chip loaf.

Perfect Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Loaf

ingredients:

1.5 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar (use another 1/4 cup if you want a sweeter loaf)
1 cup pumpkin puree (NOT pie filling)
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup chocolate chips

instructions

Preheat your oven to 350F
Grease loaf pan and set aside
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice,
In a separate bowl, beat eggs, both sugars, oil, and pumpkin puree
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the bowl of wet ingredients until well-combined
Fold in chocolate chips, mix well
Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan
Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (check at 45 minutes)
Remove from oven, let cool for 15 minutes in pan, then wrap in tinfoil to keep the moisture in
