This spicy dill pickle dip with cream cheese is the talk of the town among my friends and family, and dare I say, for good reason! Imagine a creamy, tangy blend of dill pickles and velvety cream cheese, with a kick of spicy goodness and a crunchy chip topping that doesn't require any baking and only takes a few minutes to make.
This is the ultimate crowd-pleaser dip recipe, perfect for game nights, backyard BBQs, or just lounging around. Grab your favorite chips or veggies, and dip IN! Warning: you miiiight want to make a double batch.
Let's face it: it's hard to go wrong with any dill pickle chip dip with cream cheese. Cream cheese dips in general are unbeatable, but adding Buffalo sauce, ranch, and some other special ingredients make this one you'll choose over all others.
Spicy dill pickle chips seem to have taken the world by storm (or at least for me and my friends in Canada). So this dip was created and inspired by those chips. They even have a layer of crushed chips on top so you're getting the perfect combo of creamy and crunchy.
I'm a big fan of the Miss Vickies spicy dill pickle chips, but I know several other brands (including Lays) make them so you shouldn't have trouble finding them. If for some reason you can't get your hands on them, regular dill pickle chips will do the trick!

Instructions: how to make spicy dill pickle dip with cream cheese
Place softened cream cheese, pickle juice, fresh dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper, ranch dressing, Buffalo sauce, into the base of your food processor. (This is the one I have with my Amazon referral link—it doesn't cost you extra to use this link but I do earn commission from it)
- Pulse the ingredients until smooth and well combined. Make sure to stop and scrape down the sides of the food processor once or twice throughout.
- Add the chopped dill pickles and just pulse once or twice to mix them in—but don't over-mix or they'll lose their texture.
- Taste the dip to adjust the seasoning according to your preference. Pulse the food processor a few more times to incorporate any seasoning you add.
- Transfer the dip to a serving dish or bowl.
- Sprinkle the crushed spicy dill pickle chips generously on top of the dip.
- Serve the Spicy Dill Pickle Dip with cream cheese with your favorite chips for dipping—I use a combination of spicy dill pickle chips and plain chips. You can also garnish it with more fresh dill and chopped pickles.
Note: If you're planning to make the dip ahead of time, you absolutely can! Just keep it in the fridge until you're ready to serve it, and don't add the crushed chips until you serve it.

Spicy Dill Pickle Dip with Cream Cheese & Crunchy Chip Topping
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened 250 grams, must be softened
- ¼ cup ranch dressing I love Hidden Valley Ranch
- ¼ cup pickle juice reserved from your jar of pickles
- 2-3 tablespoon buffalo sauce Use more depending on your desired level of spice
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped, plus more for garnish
- 1 cup dill pickles cut into small pieces
- ¼ teaspoon salt or more, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder can add more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ cup spicy dill pickle chips crushed, for topping
- more chips for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the cream cheese, ranch dressing, pickle juice, buffalo sauce, fresh dill, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Process until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Chop the dill pickles into small pieces. Add to your food processor and gentle pulse, just until they're mixed in. Be careful not to over-mix, as you want to retain some texture from the pickles in your dip. You can also chop extra pickles to use as a garnish.
- Crush your spicy dill pickle chips and set aside.
- Transfer the dip to a serving dish. Top with the crushed chips as well as more dill, chopped pickles, or any other garnish you desire.
- Serve with more spicy dill pickle chips and plain chips. (I use plain Ruffles)

Again, here is the food processor I've used and love for years! It's compact but powerful and I really recommend it.
By the way, I have a new page on my site with a bunch of helpful links. It has links to my social profiles, LTK, Amazon Storefront, etc. There's NO pressure to shop from any of these links, but if you're curios about the products I use, etc., that's where you'll find them. As always, your support is SO appreciated!
