It only takes a few minutes to make this recipe for homemade croutons with garlic butter. They're the perfect addition to soups and salads!

- 200 g white bread, cubed approximately — about half a large French loaf
- 3 tbsp butter melted
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp parsley dried
Preheat oven to 375F
In a microwaveable dish, add your butter, and melt in the microwave. Add the olive oil to the melted butter. Next, add in onion salt, garlic powder, salt, and parsley and mix well.
Add half of your cubed bread to a large bowl. Mix half of your butter/oil mix to half of the bread, mix well. Add the second half of the bread cubes to the bowl. Add the rest of the butter/oil and mix well with your hands until all pieces are lightly coated. Then, spread your bread cubes onto a large pan lined with parchment paper or tin foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes (see notes), stirring every few minutes. When the croutons are crisped to perfection, let them cool and serve. Or, store in an airtight container at room temperature.
- If your bread was quite fresh, it will need to bake for longer. Stale bread that has already dried out a bit will cook faster. Keep an eye on the croutons so they don't burn.
- If it seems like your croutons are cooking too fast or burning, turn the heat down to 350F and stir more often.
